Below are some supplemental resources for tying your very own bracelets.  Tutorials for Classic and Round style bracelets are shown below. Twist style bracelets require a different string that is not sold through our store and is difficult to source, therefore, we have not included any tutorials below. These links are shared by MyIntent Makers in the Makers Facebook group. Spools of waxed nylon string, refill blank tokens, and ready-made bracelets are available in our Maker Shop.

For any knots made with coated string, you'll need to melt the end of the strings to seal the knot. This can be done with a lighter, a soldering iron, or a heat knife. Here are the advantages and disadvantages of each tool:

ROUND BRACELET

String type: Wax Nylon

Key to the knot: Make sure to melt the end of the strings to seal the knot.

KNOTTED MACRAME BRACELET (Style not sold by MyIntent)

String type: Wax Nylon

TIE-ON BRACELETS (NON-ADJUSTABLE)

String type: Cotton String (NOT sold in our Maker Shop)

Key to the knot: Non-coated string! Cotton string will be able to hold a double knot from the friction of the strings. Waxed strings will continue to unravel with time. 

MyIntent used to carry Tie-On bracelets but no longer does. These bracelets are quick to make but are not adjustable (cannot be taken on and off)
