Intentional Vision Board
Vision boards. What are they? What's the purpose? and why should we be creating them?
Simply put, a vision board is a physical representation of what you want to bring into your life. They are made as a visualization exercise for our minds. Huffington Post shares, "The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe." The science behind this idea of manifestation is "growth mindset." According to Psychology Today and research by Dr. Carol Dweck, "This research suggests that if we truly believe we can achieve something, we are willing to do the hard work to achieve it. Ultimately, the science suggests that our beliefs bring about behaviors (and responses from others) that lead to the outcomes we desire."
Vision boards serve as a reminder just like Your WORD!
SO why should we even create a vision board for your WORD? Our goal is for your WORD to become even more tangible so that you can live this intention each day, even if it's just for one moment. Creating a vision board for your intention will help bring to life your WORD. It allows us to visualize the journey of our intention as well as the end goal. This vision board will serve as another physical reminder of your WORD. Everyday, you can look down at your bracelet and see your WORD as well as a beautiful vision board that helps bring in visuals that remind you of your intention.
Here is our guide on how to create an Intentional Vision Board for your WORD:
WHAT'S YOUR WORD?
The first and most important step in this process is to find your WORD. We have two ways that can help you find your WORD.
1. Our WORD Finder Quiz - This is a great resource to find inspiration for your WORD. After answering a few questions, your results will bring you to a list of WORDs that you can choose from based on the where you want your focus to be!
2. How to Set your New Year's Intention - Our guide will have you answer a collection of journal prompts that will help your WORD bubble up!
PREPARE YOUR VISION BOARD
Before we dive into collecting our magazines and snipping out photos, we want to take time to connect with your WORD and visualize what your intention means to you! This is taking the next step in your journey with your intention. Finding your WORD is an amazing feeling, and now we're taking the next step to visualize what living your WORD will feel like. Try writing this out in illustrative details to help you solidify your vision board as you look through photos
Reflect on the following questions to help bring your WORD to life:
1. Using your 5 senses, can you describe your WORD?
For example, if your WORD is BREATHE, how does the air smell as you breathe in? How does it feel in your body to take a deep breath? Are you looking forward to a breathtaking view this year? Can you imagine breathing in a homecooked meal with loved ones and taking time to taste the food? Is BREATHE simply about the breath or can it be about taking a moment to remember something special?
2. When you are embodying your WORD, how do you feel? Can you imagine what you look like fully embodied?
3. What are some things that spark a reminder for your WORD?
