Finish Strong 2018!

Is it October already? It might be hard to believe, but with less than three months left, 2018 is nearing an end. To help accomplish the most out of this last chapter of the year, we have created this empowering exercise! Here, we will guide you through a series of thought-provoking questions to help you reflect on the past year, while giving you clarity and confidence to plan for the future.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

  • Block out 30 minutes of uninterrupted time and, if possible, turn off your phone
  • Decide if you would like to do this exercise with alone or in a group
  • Pick a quiet location where you can sit comfortably and focus without being distracted
  • You will need a some paper or a journal, and a pen

Once you have the time set aside, your special place, and your materials, it's time to get started!

LOOKING BACK

Start to reflect back on everything that has happened since the beginning of the yearWhat have you accomplished, no matter how big or small? Start to write all accomplishments down without judgment.

To further help identify your accomplishments try answering these questions:

1. What are you most proud of, no matter how big or small?
2. Where have you received praise?
3. What challenges have you overcome and/or still overcoming?

Tip: Sometimes our accomplishments are not tangible things we can see but life lessons we have learned.

Taking time to reflect and feeling grateful for the small wins gives us the momentum and energy to continue moving forward with our intentions and goals. Own your accomplishments and be proud of where you are.

 LOOKING FORWARD

Now that you have reflected on the past nine months, it’s time to plan out your last three. Luckily, a three-month intention, plan or goal can be extremely effective because there isn’t much room for procrastination! What would you like to manifest or achieve?

To further help you plan ahead here are a few suggested questions to answer:

1. If you could accomplish just one thing before the end of the year, what would that be?

2. What is one task you have been putting off that is causing you stress or dissatisfaction?

3. What is one feeling you want to have regularly?

Tip: Write every goal or intention down.

Studies have shown that people who write their goals and intentions down have a much high success rate of achieving them! These goals do not have to be big, scary goals. Remember, larger goals are often made up of many smaller, bite sized goals along the way.

Next, give yourself a due date of when you want to achieve your goals by and share your plans with a trusted friend who can hold you accountable. Setup a monthly coffee date to check in with each other on how you are progressing towards your goals.

Starting the last quarter of the year doesn’t have to be stressful. By focusing on reflection, self-care, and creating a plan, you will be surprised at just how much you can achieve in as little as three months!
